Collection: Toddler and preschooler carrier

More about carriers for toddlers and bigger children

As your child grows, their carrying needs also change. A standard baby carrier can quickly feel too small, both for the child and for the wearer. A toddler carrier is specially designed for older children and provides better support for the child's body, while distributing the weight comfortably across the wearer's hips, back, and shoulders.

At Baby Kanga, you'll find ergonomic toddler and larger child carriers – perfect for those who want to continue carrying even after the baby stage. Whether you need a carrier for everyday use, walks, travel, preschool pickups, forest adventures, or those moments when little legs suddenly get tired, there are models that make carrying both safe and comfortable.

When do you need a toddler carrier?

A toddler carrier is often suitable when the child has outgrown a standard baby carrier or when the seat and back panel start to feel too small. This can be noticed when the child no longer gets knee-to-knee support, when their back doesn't get enough support, or when carrying starts to feel heavy and uncomfortable.

A carrier for older children is wider and taller than a standard baby carrier. It provides better support under the thighs and across the back, allowing the child to sit more relaxed and ergonomically. For the wearer, it often means better relief and a more stable feeling, especially during longer periods.

Perfect for everyday, travel, and adventures

A toddler carrier can be invaluable in many situations. It's convenient to have when a stroller isn't suitable, for example, when traveling, in the forest, at the airport, on public transport, or during outings. It's also perfect for children who like to walk on their own but quickly get tired and want to be carried for a while.

Many older children also appreciate the security of being close when there are many impressions, new environments, or long days. With a good toddler carrier, you can easily switch between letting your child walk independently and carrying them when needed.
