LELY – the cosy Nebula weather cover
A babywearing cover…
Simply place your wool cover over your baby carrier. Fasten the upper flaps with the snap buttons around the shoulder straps, and the cover will fit most baby carriers and baby wraps.
For a snug fit at the sides, attach the lower flaps around the waistband and fasten them as well. The drawstring at the bottom allows you to adjust the shape so the cover provides optimal warmth and protection.
…so many possibilities
LELY is your flexible everyday companion, providing cosy warmth wherever you are. It can be used not only with your baby carrier, but also over an infant car seat or as extra protection against draughts in the stroller.
You can also use it as a soft play mat or as a practical changing mat on cold surfaces. A versatile cover that gives your child warmth and comfort wherever you go.
Leliba’s wool: pure nature, craftsmanship and attention to detail
A home by the Elbe for true nature keepers
Leliba’s wool begins its journey in the border region between Lower Saxony and Mecklenburg, where the sheep graze on meadows and help maintain the dikes.
They live naturally as part of an organically certified landscape conservation farm by the Elbe. This is important to Leliba and can be felt in every fibre of the wool: respect for animals and nature, honesty and quality.
Craftsmanship from the Elbe to the Bavarian Forest
The journey of the wool is long and carefully considered.
First, it is washed in a GOTS-certified wool laundry in Belgium, using pure soda lye and no harsh chemicals. The yarn is then spun in Brandenburg.
In a traditional weaving mill in the Bavarian Forest, which has been run for eleven generations, the yarn is woven into loden. The soft loden is woven rather than knitted, giving it extra stability and durability.
Finally, the material returns to Lower Saxony, where it is carefully sewn into finished babywearing covers, with attention to every seam.
Made in Germany.
Why wool is a wonderful natural fibre
Wool has a unique fibre structure. Each fibre works like tiny hollow tubes that can absorb up to 30% of their own weight in moisture without feeling wet.
At the same time, air and warmth circulate naturally through the fibres. This is what makes wool so effective: it does not actively heat or cool, but instead works as a natural insulating layer.
Layers of comfort and protection
Leliba’s soft loden is loosely woven and consists of many overlapping fibres that together create a natural insulating layer.
The breathable structure helps prevent heat and moisture build-up, keeping it comfortable in all kinds of weather.
Plastic-free and made with care
This wool cover is completely plastic-free and reflects Leliba’s care for both animals and the environment.
Every step of the production process is shaped by sustainability and respect for nature.
Wool’s self-cleaning properties
Wool has naturally self-cleaning properties. Often, airing the product is enough, and washing is needed less frequently.
The fibre structure helps naturally transport moisture and dirt away, keeping the wool fresh for longer.
Care instructions
Hand wash or use the wool programme on your washing machine.
Use wool detergent or a small amount of shampoo with lukewarm water. Gently squeeze out the water without twisting, and leave to dry flat.
