Light weight and easy to use Wompat LITE baby carrier is the best baby carrier for both babies and toddlers! The panel of the baby carrier is made of cotton fabric, 100% cotton. The shoulder straps are made of comfortable black cotton twill. You can choose between two adjustable sizes: the baby size is suitable from birth to approx. 2 years (minimum weight 3.5 kg / 7 lbs) and the toddler size is for approx. 2 - 5 year old children (max weight 25 kg / 55 lbs). The width of the carrier is adjusted with a removable adjustment belt. The Wompat LITE is comfortable, simple and affordable carrier and it fits well in your diaper bag. You can carry the baby in the front against the body, in the back and on the hip as well. Wompat baby and toddler carriers are carefully handcrafted in Finland (EU). The baby-sized Wompat LITE baby carrier is suitable for newborn babies from about 3.5 kg (7 lbs) and up. The panel is adjusted narrower for small babies with the adjustment belt that comes with each carrier. The adjustment belt is placed around the lower part of the panel and it is tightened with a small buckle. The panel should go from the baby's knee crease to the knee crease. By changing the position of the adjustment belt, you can also adjust the height of the panel. Find more detailed instructions HERE . The carrier supports the child's head and neck when the upper edge reaches the child's ear lobe. You can fold the upper part behind the child's neck. As the child grows, the carrier gradually adjusts to a larger size. The adjustments are stepless and therefore you can always shape the carrier just right for your baby. Depending on the individual growth rate of each baby, the Wompat carrier can be used until approximately 2 years of age. toddler carrier fits from about 2 years and up to 5 years. The toddler carrier also comes with the adjuster belt.

Shoulder straps
The shoulder straps of the Wompat LITE baby carrier have soft padding. The straps are not too bulky or thick and therefore sit snugly on the shoulders and spread the weight widely and evenly on the shoulders and upper back. Soft, high-quality, hypoallergenic padding is used inside the shoulder straps. The length can be adjusted with "perfect fit buckles" (PFA), which makes the carrier suitable even for smaller parents. You can also bring the baby closer to your body if you tighten the PFA buckles slightly.

The buckles at the ends of the shoulder straps can be opened making it possible to wear on the hip and cross the straps on the back. Many parents find crossing the straps very comfortable and it's a good idea to try if you have narrow shoulders or the straps don't sit comfortably in the normal H position. The shoulder straps can be tightened in two directions: this way you can always do the final tightening by pulling the straps forward. Every Wompat baby carrier comes with a removable chest strap. The shoulder straps in the baby size Wompat can be adjusted between 39 cm and 54 cm. The shoulder straps on the toddler size carrier are slightly shorter. The Wompat LITE baby carrier in baby size has also been a good fit for young parents. For the toddler size, we recommend Petite bands, if you use clothing size XS-S and are under 160 cm tall.

Waist belt
The Wompat LITE baby carrier has no padded waist belt at all. The carrier includes wide waistbands that attach to each corner of the panel and are adjusted with a buckle. The Wompat LITE is worn "apron style" which means that in the initial position after fixing the waist buckle, the panel hangs straight down and the decorative fabric faces your thighs. When the panel is lifted up and over the baby's back, the fabric forms a pocket for the baby's bottom. This type of waist will sit quite nicely on the hips or waist on both the front and back gear. Many parents find that the waist is very comfortable and does not need thick padding.

Carry a small baby high against your chest and wear the waist belt as high as possible. Baby's head should be close enough to kiss the top of baby's head. As the child grows, you can fasten the waist straps lower. On the back, it is also good to wear the carrier high - the waist buckle can be placed just below the breasts. The higher you carry the baby, the easier it feels to carry the baby. Waistbands can be adjusted very small so that the carrier fits well even for slim parents. The maximum adjustment of the waist straps is 140 cm. If your waist is larger, we recommend that you order a custom-made carrier with a longer waist strap.

High quality material
Wear a Baby uses only the best materials for their baby carriers and most of them are purchased from local companies in Finland. Their goal is to make Wompat as strong and long lasting as possible. They want to choose clean and safe materials - all their fabrics meet the oeko-tex100 standard as well as the yarns used on Vanamo woven wraps. The Oeko-tex100 standard ensures that the fabrics do not contain any harmful chemicals. The carrier's basic structure is made of airy cotton of good quality. A decorative fabric layer of cotton print or woven wrap fabric is placed on the front of the panel. The shoulder straps are made of comfortable cotton twill fabric.

Washing:
Spot clean all small spots. Wash the entire carrier only when necessary. You can machine wash the Wompat, use a delicate program and cold water (30 Celsius). Use only a small amount of liquid detergent. No fabric softeners. Hang to dry. Shape the baby carrier while it is still damp. The panel and hood can be ironed: cotton/linen at medium heat and wool/silk at low heat. DO NOT iron any of the padded parts!
